Remnant 1.75 yard piece, Soft Purple Slubby Handwoven Certified Oshima Tsumugi Kimono Silk from Japan, #103

A Tsumugi handwoven treasure; probably older than vintage, with the label still attached certifying it's a Handwoven Oshima Tsumugi 100% Silk. Muted purple with off-white ikat characters in a grid pattern, very finely done in the weave. This silk is thin and mid-light-weight, with a bit of body, a smooth surface, no shine and not much drape. It's been carefully stored, never used; in excellent condition. A true ikat, both sides are the same.  100% Silk. Japan. Lucky you; these treasures are getting harder to find in our experience.
