Liquid Drape Subtle Crinkle Vintage Kimono Silk from Japan, Olive Gray, By the Yard #535
Sooo light, supple, drapey and flowy, with no shine and subtle, fine slubs. It's probably a twisted-thread crepe weave of some type, and the previous owner is calling it Tsumugi, woven from raw 'waste' silk from the floor of the weaver's studio. But there are no official labels as such. The texture is so interesting; look again and you may see different crinkle effects in 'stripes' across the width. Deep green-gray - the olive is so subtle your screen might see just gray, but the gray-green does show up in the light. This silk may be quite old, but we see no problems with its condition. 14" wide and sold by the full yard, we'll cut yours in one piece from the never-used vintage bolt. 100% Silk. Japan. Exceptional.
