ButtonBird.com offers a large (some say phenomenal) selection of mostly natural buttons from the US and around the globe: Over 1,500 curated styles in a gorgeous array of colors, in all price ranges, including designer, unique, vintage, new and one-of-a kind buttons, made from shell, metal, corozo, glass, pewter, beach stone, coconut, porcelain and more. We also have probably the best selection of Southwest/Concho buttons anywhere, which began when we owned Santa Fe Fabrics years ago, and fell in love with the Southwest style. Most of them are USA-made.  

We also carry vintage Japanese kimono fabrics, mostly silk but also wool, cotton and other fibers, in many different weaves. Most are unique (we have the only bolt made), and many are breathtakingly beautiful.

We've been in the online buttons and fabric business since 2018, are going strong and always adding more inventory, always hand picked by Nancy. We ship quickly and provide excellent customer service.

Shipping within the US: We ship from California. We usually ship within 5 working days of your order and if we can't, you'll hear from us shortly and you are welcome to cancel your order. 

$5.90 flat rate shipping for any U.S. order. 

If you need a rush order let us know and we'll do our best to help. In the US it may add around $20+, depending on your order and how soon you need it.  

We do combine shipping as long as we catch it, and haven't already shipped your first order. 

International Shipping: We ship to almost everywhere in the world. Usually the shipping cost you see as you check out is accurate, but if not we'll let you know right away if we need to adjust up or down. (Usually down). You will be responsible for any customs and duties imposed by your country when your order arrives in your country; we have no way of anticipating those costs in advance. It may take from four to eight weeks for your order to arrive. These timeframes can vary drastically and are out of our control. 

Shortages: Occasionally the website is wrong on inventory count, for instance if the bolt was short, so if we don't have what you order, we'll let you know immediately and together come up with another plan such as a refund, wait until we get it again, etc.  

Payment: Our secure website accepts most credit cards and PayPal.  If you have any problems checking out, please let us know so we can help. 

Discounts: Are you a business, professional designer or artisan using your ButtonBird purchase to re-sell to your customers? Let us know; we may be able to discount your purchases. We'll do our best. Larger custom orders are sometimes possible, so talk to us and we'll help if we can. 

Returns are allowed within 30 days on most items if you have not sewn, washed, cut or changed it. We are a very small business with limited resources, so if we cut your fabric from the bolt, your return may be subject to a re-stocking fee.  Please contact us for return instructions.
