River currents and clouds, homes and farms, bamboo, flowers, leaves and other nature, depicted in line-drawing style in ivory.  The background blend moves softly from darker to lighter, and was probably done with bokashi, by hand, creating a misty look. This vintage crepe is lightweight, supple, flowy and thin. Not typical chirimen from that era, it's smoother, not bumpy or pebbly, but the crepe weave adds lustre, suppleness and drape. 14" wide and sold by the full yard, we'll cut yours in one piece from the never-used, excellent condition vintage bolt. 100% Silk.
