Black on Black Origami Jacquard Drapey Vintage Kimono Silk from Japan By the Yard # 537

Jacquard shapes or islands floating on stepping stones? Birds? Purely abstract?  This jacquard is complex, with variations in the weaves, mostly quite dimensional, and there are several sizes and styles of "islands".  Deepest black on deepest black, so they are a bit subtle but look closely; they're beautiful. We lightened or colorized some of the photos to show the design better, but please note, this silk is truly, true black. Luxurious, flowy, lightweight, drapey, supple, high end, hard to find, beautiful condition, stunning silk. See the last photo; this bolt probably has 1-3 white flower family crest areas close to the selvedge.
