Fine silk ikat from Japan, with lustre so rich it seems to glow dark silvery black. The black is so strong that it nearly hides the colors. The effect is almost beyond description; this is a truly unique and exquisite silk that may take your breath away. Certified hand woven Oshima Tsumugi, very thin, supple, soft, smooth and sleek, with no body and a bit of drape; it's light as a feather.  A true ikat, both sides are the same.  14" wide and sold by the full yard, we'll cut yours in one piece from the excellent condition vintage bolt. 100% Silk. Japan.  Rare and extraordinary.
