Rust/Blue/Black Cross Dye Yarn Dyed Stripe, Vintage Kimono Silk from Japan By the Yard #233

The black in the weave tones down the rust, so it's strong but not bright-bright. The blue pops quite well. Gorgeous silk with some variation in thread width to create a soft texture and a few slubs, but basically the stripe is perfect. It's thin, soft and light, maybe slightly heavier than most kimono silk, with body and no drape. It does have a subtle lustre but we don't see it as shine.  Both sides are just the same.  15" wide and sold by the full yard, yours will be in one piece cut from the never-used, excellent condition bolt. 100% Silk.
