Butternut Rainbow Slubby-Textured Handwoven Tsumugi Kimono Silk from Japan By the Yard, #530

A Tsumugi treasure, in butternut squash tones, toasty oranges with bits of black, red, sage, cream, raisin, gold, brown, and more. This silk is thin and mid-weight, with a bit of body, a very textured, slubby surface, no shine and not much drape. It's a cottony feeling raw silk, not a sleek silk. Yet very soft. There are Intentional and beautifully placed very thick threads now and then. It's been carefully stored, never used; in excellent condition. This is a weave not a print, and both sides are the same.  14" wide and sold by the full yard; we'll cut yours in one piece.  100% Silk. Exceptional. We're 99% sure it's handwoven. Japan.
