Silver + Indigo Vintage Kimono Silk Shibori Piece from Japan, 13 x 60" # 528

Vintage silk piece from a dis-assembled kimono, this is a beautiful, simple shibori in an almost lavender (in certain lights) silvery gray, plus off-white and dark navy, probably indigo.  Very textured, this silk is thin and light, flowy, supple and drapey, soft yet bumpy; just what we love about true Japanese shibori silk. The back has some of the dye soak-through. It may be quite old but we see no issued with its condition. We're always on the hunt for shibori like this but we only have this one piece from this kimono. 100% Silk. Japan.
