Like looking through a misty dream of lush, tropical Oshima Island. The weaver has created blurry gardens and forests, homes and flowers. With a very soft and smooth surface, this lightweight, very thin silk is a bit crisp, with some body and no shine. The reds, blacks, yellows and many greens are cross-dyed with fine white and black silk fibers.  A true ikat, back and front are the same.  14" wide, 2-1/2 yards long piece that was cut in one piece from the bolt of perfect condition vintage handwoven silk.  100% Silk, probably Oshima. Japan. Stunning.  We also have more on the bolt uncut, in a separate listing. 

The label portion was sold to the first customer to buy this silk, but shown here for reference.
