Last of This, Red Dots and Indigo Curves Vintage Kimono Silk Jacquard from Japan, 14" x 38" Piece, #4471

Curving stripes of indigo with red dots and lines, meeting the surrounding stripes. It's done with a complex jacquard of different weaves and colors, and from a distance reads as blue-violet.  The red and magenta areas are slightly raised, and pop more as the light changes. Supple, flowy, drapey, lightweight, textured from the design, soft pure silk in beautiful condition. These pieces had a former life as parts of a kimono.  100% Silk.  Japan.
