SET OF 8 Vintage Kimono Silk Pieces: Dark Tomato Mountains and Grasses Liquid Drape, Various Sizes # 6321

Vintage silk, probably from a haori kimono coat. Rich paprika/dark tomato orange-red. The jagged mountains are silhouetted in the mist, in dark brown blending with the red. There are graceful sprigs of grasses/leaves created with jacquard, arranged differently on each piece. Most of the designed areas also have tiny flecks in the same brown as the mountains and trees, which look to us like rain.  Each piece has some form of the mountains and grasses; some very large and others just 6" high with no jacquard, just mountains. No two pieces are just the same, so that the art would appear properly on the finished kimono and on the body. Exquisite vintage Japanese kimono silk, light, flowy, drapey, soft, supple, and smooth -  so lustrous. There are two pieces at 14" x 50", two at 14" x 40", two at 14" x 24", and two at 10" x 50".  The last photo shows them all, folded. Order "1" for the set of 8 pieces.
