Earthtone Plants Vintage Chirimen Crepe Kimono Silk Print, Pieces from Japan, 14" x 54" # ZP-20

Cream background with tans and browns, maple leaves and other plants. This is a chirimen silk crepe print, with a slightly 'bumpy' texture, thin and light, a bit crisp but also a bit drapey. The crepe texture reminds us of rivulets, and there is no shine. The back shows the print only slightly; it's basically cream. These were pieces from a Japanese kimono, probably from the 1980's. This silk is in excellent, pristine condition. Sold per 14" x 54" piece. 100% Silk. Japan.
