Dark Geometric Diamonds Complex Ikat, Black/Gray/Blue Vintage Kimono Silk from Japan By the Yard #232

Lots of black, plus gray, blue and a bit of brown, in an intricate, exacting ikat-woven design. The detail and contrast in the design is fine, visually strong, clean, sharp and crisp.  This silk is thin, light, with a soft surface, not slubby, with a bit of body and slight crispness and no drape. No shine.  A true ikat, back and front are just the same.  Probably a handwoven Yuki Tsumugi. 14" wide and sold by the full yard, yours will be in one piece cut from the never-used, excellent condition bolt. 100% Silk.
