Cranes, Bridges & Blossoms, Bingata Hand-Stenciled Vintage Kimono Silk Chirimen Crepe Piece 14" x 33" # 6320

A classic, traditional Japanese hand-stenciled true Bingata from a kimono that's been deconstructed, with a light taupe background and blue, olive, ochre and purple. Drapey and supple, with a chirimen crepe 'rivulets' texture that is quite pronounced. This lightweight silk has a dry hand and no shine. The back is similar but muted; the colors didn't soak all the way through. We have four of these pieces and if you order them all, we'll include a bonus 2-yard piece that is still pieced/basted from its former arai hari kimono life as the long narrow collar pieces.  So you'd have to take out that basting then have some long, but only 6-7" wide pieces. 100% Silk.
