Sale, Red-Orange Crinkle Shibori Blossoms Textured Vintage Kimono Silk from Japan By the Yard #217

Tomato red towards orange, with roundish, plump, pastel apricot shibori blossoms surrounded by smaller shibori snippets (flower petals) with tiny pink or light blue-green blossoms and four squares around them, all floating in the breeze or perhaps in the stream. The large puffball apricot colored blossoms are 2"-3" in diameter and appear every 6-12" apart throughout the bolt. The base silk's basket weave is quite textured, and looks to have been done somehow in the weave; it's perfectly aligned with the silk threads, not random or crinkled, and shows up more on the front than the back.  The shibori work is genuine, done by hand:  no two blossoms will exactly match.  This silk is flowy and light, supple and soft, with liquid drape and no sheen.  14" wide and sold by the full yard, we'll cut yours in one piece from the pristine condition, unused vintage kimono bolt.  100% Silk.
