Red Fancy Ikat/Plaid/Stripe Yarn-Dyed Vintage Kimono Silk Blend from Japan, By the Yard #314

Bright true red, yellow, blue and white, all in the weave, not a print. Little ikat shapes are white and yellow and no two are exactly alike. Thin and light, smooth, supple, soft and sleek, with a bit of rustle, shine and slight drape. It's may be 100% silk but might also have some synthetic such as poly or nylon in the weave; it's hard to tell and there are no labels on this vintage bolt. it doesn't wrinkle as much as silk usually does, when crushed.  But, usually when a bolt has a border and fringe like this, it's all silk. So, we're not sure. It's tightly woven, great quality, a beautiful weave. Yarn dyed and both sides are the same.  14" wide and sold by the full yard. We'll cut yours in one piece from the never used, excellent condition vintage bolt from Japan. Portion with fringe has sold but here for reference.
