Moving Red Kasuri Square-Dots, Indigo Textured Vintage Kimono Silk from Japan, By the Yard #312

Dark navy/indigo with back-and-forth bright red blurry-edge ikat dot-squares, which are somewhat round and each a bit different. They're evenly spaced about 11" apart through the length, changing their positions each time across the 15" width. This silk is on the heavy side for kimono silk, probably meant for mens' kimono, almost flannel-like and 'fluffy' like raw silk, with a matte finish and textured because of extensive variance in thread thickness. It's very soft, not sleek or shiny at all. A true ikat, both sides are the same. The last two photos include our skinny white tape measure if you look closely.  15" wide and sold by the full yard. We'll cut yours in one piece from the never used, beautiful condition vintage bolt, that we're quite sure was handwoven.  100% Silk from Japan.
