A complex jacquard with several different weaves that contrast with the adjacent one, bringing the leaves to life. There is only one red "color"; all the definition between the leaves and the background comes from the jacquard and how the light reacts to the silk. It's even more stunning than you may be thinking. Mid-lightweight, supple, drapey, smooth, and flowy pure silk from Japan. It's more smooth than textured; the jacquard weaves are very fine and the surface isn't bumpy. No body or crispness. Not shiny-shiny but lustrous and glowing from the jacquard. We see the red as deep, rich, dark tomato, slightly towards orange not blue. 14" wide and sold by the full yard; we'll cut yours in one piece from the never-used, excellent condition bolt.  100% Silk.
