Red/Creme Ume Plum Blossoms Print Fine Supple Vintage Kimono Silk Crepe from Japan, By the Yard #212

Ume are Japanese plum blossoms that are said to bring good fortune, endurance, renewal, strength and health. This silk print is drapey, light, soft, thin, supple and flowy, with a slight crepe texture; not deep and intense. The selvedges have a fine silver thread at the very edge, shown in the last photo, and we assume this is a higher end silk; it does have a certain elegance.  The background is very slightly towards peach, in our light, and the tiny ume are orange-red. 14" wide and sold by the full yard; we'll cut yours in one piece from the never-used, pristine condition vintage bolt. 100% Silk.
