Rain Splashing Muted Purple Vintage Kimono Silk Pirnt from Japan By the Yard # 291

Calm lavender-purple, with lighter splashes, flecks and splatters.   Fine crepe weave with a pebbly texture, not as intensely grooved or textured as some chirimen crepe.  This silk is thin and light, drapey, supple and a bit flowy, with a dry hand and no no sheen. On the back, the texture is smoother and the color is almost as strong but not quite as detailed. The muted purple color is consistent, smooth and strong throughout.  14" wide and sold by the full yard, we'll cut yours in one piece from the never-used, excellent condition vintage bolt. 100% Silk.
