Golden Light Floral Bouquet Print, Vintage Lustrous Kimono Silk from Japan By the Yard #849

Glowing clusters of flowers in whites, pinks, purples, reds, yellows and oranges, on a background that blends beautifully in and out of golds and pale greens, to nearly white. The bouquets move from left to right and share a few of their outer flowers with the next one. Each blossom is outlined in a fine line of opaque white, and hand-painted similarly through the bolt, but if you look closely you can see that no two flowers exactly match. The weave is satiny on the front, which absolutely glows with light and lustre from the jacquard of tiny flecks throughout the bolt. This silk is thin, light, flowy, lustrous and supple.  14" wide and sold by the full yard; we'll cut yours in one piece from the never-used, excellent condition vintage bolt. 100% Silk. Japan.  We think it's probably a Tango Chirimen. Exceptional.
