Oranges/Golds/Ochre/Wine Faux Patchwork Hexagons Chirimen Vintage Kimono Silk Print from Japan By the Yard #231

Fall tones with off-white, with hexagon 'patches' overlaying and nesting with others through the bolt.  Very supple, flowy, soft, light, silky, liquid drape Chirimen silk. It does have a slight pebby texture but it's subtle; more sleek and less deeply textured than most chirimen. We checked the first few yards and can not find a repeat of the same 'patch' with the same shape, color and design inside. Perhaps the entire bolt was hand stenciled, which would not be surprising given how beloved chirimen silk is/was in Japan. 14" wide and sold by the full yard; we'll cut yours in a continuous piece from the beautiful condition, never used bolt.
