Orange-Olive Batik-Jacquard Bokashi Blends Chrysanthemums Vintage Kimono Silk from Japan By the Yard #847

The base silk has bokashi hand-blended shades of soft, not bright, oranges, golds and olives, and a subtle, shiny, raised jacquard of mum petal outlines.  The white flower centers and we think some of the  lighter tones of mum petals were done with batik. The petals' jacquard outlines look like glistening silk embroidery. The back of the silk is smoother; the jacquard is flatter. This silk is thin and light, supple, drapey, smooth and soft, with a bit of lustre, not a strong sheen.  14" wide and sold by the full yard; we'll cut yours in one piece from the never-used, excellent condition vintage bolt. 100% Silk.
