Metal-Look Charcoal Baroque Button from Italy, 7/8" Per Button #FJ-188
They look and sound like metal when they touch each other, yet they seem much lighter. We think it's some type of synthetic from Italy, probably vintage. It's beautiful, detailed, etched-looking, barely shiny, shades of gray. The swirl design is slightly raised above the darker gray. It seems like the inside might be somewhat hollow? Is/was there such a thing as a metal/plastic blend? More questions than answers...Shank opening is around 2.5mm. taly. Sold per button.
