Full BOLT of Vintage Navy Furisode Kimono Miyoshi Chirimen Crepe Silk, Traditional Floral from Japan #221

Chrysanthemums, bamboo, peonies, bamboo...Liquid drape Miyoshi silk chirimen crepe in dark navy with traditional flower designs appearing throughout the bolt. It was designed and created specifically so that the kimono, probably Furisode, would be dynamic when worn, showcasing the artwork beautifully in specific areas. This bolt has 9 designed areas, in various sizes from about 7" x 7", up to the entire 14" width and 32" high, quite dramatic. They are spaced from less than a yard apart to a few yards apart. (With solid dark navy with jacquard speckles/silk crepe in between). No two of the flower areas are the same but they all coordinate. Liquid drape crepe has a beautiful texture, hand, color and drape. It's barely textured; a fine fine crepe weave.  Pure silk, light, flowy, very supple and drapey. 14" wide and about 14 yards long, in excellent condition, (no fading or inconsistency; sorry if some of the photos look like there is) - never used, vintage.
