Exceptional Deep Blueberry Shibori Abstract Vintage Kimono Silk Crepe, 14" x 38" #4399

Liquid drape vintage kimono silk in deep blue-gray-violet chirimen crepe with a subtle background of lighter lines and soft small spots, which seem to align with a jacquard that adds a hint of opalescence and a slightly pebbled, yet still soft and lush, texture. Long, lean not-straight diagonal lines are each different, and never touch the shibori abstract rounded squares. Kimono silks this unique and beautiful are rare and breathtaking. The photos barely convey what a treasure it is. We think this is a Tango Chirimen, one of the finest silks made. Flowy and drapey, extremely soft and supple.  

This silk is in excellent condition from its former life as a kimono. Japan.
