Ecru Swirls Ikat with Red, Sashiko-Like Vintage Kimono Silk from Japan By the Yard, #105

Dark red and off-white/ecru, tiny sashiko-like boxes and lines, creating large calligraphy-like swirls and loops through the bolt. A true ikat, both sides are just the same.  It's soft, thin, smooth, light, supple, almost drapey.  It feels like cotton-silk, with a matte finish, no shine and a bit of texture from the different thicknesses of silk threads.  14" wide, 28" repeat.  Sold by the full yard and we'll cut yours as one piece from the never used, excellent condition vintage bolt.  The closer you get the more you appreciate the difficulty and precision of the weave! 100% Silk.
