DEEPER SALE- MEISEN, Quite Old Purple Ikat Zig-zags Rustic Vintage Kimono Silk from Japan By the Yard #755

Light and dark purple, with ikat-created towers, large diagonal zig-zags in a meisen-like weave. The silk Meisen is very light, thin and fine, and not as blurry as most Meisen.  It's sleek, soft, a little shiny. It's not drapey.  There are some weaving imperfections as you can see: slubs, a few flaws in the selvedges.  We assume it was handwoven. A true ikat, both sides are just the same. 14" wide, sold by the full yard, and we'll cut yours in one piece from the never-used, vintage (or older?) bolt. 100% Silk. Japan. Age unknown.
