Thin, strong metal buttons are solid lead-free metal dipped in bronze, which creates dark charcoal with shiny coppery mottling.  They have a slight up-scoop on the smoother, probably 'front' side. The backs are a lot more textured. No two will match and they truly look old, with lots of variance and rustic 'imperfections'. Some have more blackish gray; others more copper; most have a mix.  They are thin, light, strong. From Greece, newly made to look old.  Sold per button.
