Orange/Orange Tree Bark/ Blossoms, Antique Look Kimono Silk from Japan, By the Yard #408

In Shinto spirituality, trees are viewed as conduits to the spirit world and we do see fabrics from Japan depicting tree bark occasionally. This silk may be quite old, it's thin and light, a bit drapey, quite soft.  There's a bit of texture i the weave. The blossoms artwork is creamy beige and the bark is two oranges.  14" wide and sold by the full yard; we'll cut yours in one piece from the age unknown, possibly not vintage, excellent condition bolt. 100% Silk. Older than vintage? Japan.
