Another weaving masterpiece, this silk has pretty much every color you can think of, every texture, lustrous fibers and calm ones, sleet-like white ikat shapes and designs slicing through now and then.. everything hidden in the tweed-like, complex but minimalist blacks and whites. Words can't really touch its beauty. This silk is thin and light, with a little body, a bit of lustre but not what we'd say is sheen. It's not soft or drapey, but closer to crisp. (Not scratchy; definitely silk; just lots of texture). It does not in our opinion have a pink cast. Both sides are the same; it's all in the weave, not a print. 14" wide and sold by the full yard; we'll cut yours in one piece from the never used, beautiful condition, clearly handwoven, vintage bolt. 100% Silk. Japan.
