Infinite Diamonds Ikat, Brown/Amber Miyuki Tsumugi Vintage Kimono Silk By the Yard from Japan, #315

 Brown, white and amber/gold, smaller and larger diamonds creating diamonds and subtle stripes through the length, within diamonds.  This silk is on the heavy side for kimono silk, flannel-like, raw silk, with a matte finish, characteristic of many Yuki Tsumugi Silks from days past.  It's very soft, not sleek or shiny at all; with lots texture and slubs. Beautiful taupe-brown selvedges. Very soft and luscious. A true ikat, both sides are the same. It was probably dyed with indigo and other natural dyes, and hand woven. 14" wide and sold by the full yard.
