SALE, Orange/Orange Tree Bark/ Blossoms, Antique Look Kimono Silk from Japan, By the Yard #408

In Shinto spirituality, trees are viewed as conduits to the spirit world and we do see fabrics from Japan depicting tree bark occasionally. Perhaps this motif on the background is signifying tree bark. This silk may be quite old, it's thin and light, a bit drapey, quite soft.  There's a bit of texture i the weave. The blossoms artwork is creamy beige and the bark (background) is two orange tones.  14" wide and sold by the full yard; we'll cut yours in one piece from the excellent condition bolt. 100% Silk. Older than vintage? Japan.
