Butternut Pear Blur, Vintage Kimono Silk Tsumugi from Japan By the Yard, #255

Soft, light and thin, with subtle slubby texture from the weave, pure silk with cloudlike soft butternut orange-red blending to golden pear/mustard tones. Along the way and depending on the light, there may be hints of pale greenish yellow.  In the background there are fine gray, blue and wine coming-and-going single-thread stripes through the length. Both sides are the same or so close we can't tell the difference. This silk is almost crisp, not drapey or shiny, and a bit supple but not flowy. There are labels, but it looks and feels just like certified 'pure silk pongee weave Tsumugi'. 14" wide, sold by the full yard and we'll cut yours in one piece from the beautiful condition, unused vintage bolt. 100% Silk.
