Black/Off-White Squiggly Tendrils Vintage Lightweight Hand-Painted? Silk Crepe from Japan, Four Narrow Pieces #225

True black and gray so light it's almost white, these pieces were formerly parts of a kimono.  It's thin, lightweight, fine, supple, drapey and flowy.   It has a soft, subtle crepe texture and no shine. The less-contrasty side may actually be the front?  Try as we might, we can't find a repeat and we think the whole bolt was painted by hand?  100% Silk. Japan.   

This is for four narrower pieces from the same kimono as the wider ones. You'll get one piece 6" x 75", one piece 6" x 39", and two pieces 6" x 58".  To help you see scale, the first 3 photos are these.  (The last 3 photos are of the full, 13.5" width, the pieces in other listings.)
