All done in the weave, with off-white, green, orange and black fine wool fibers, to create a design with intentionally imperfect squares and diamonds within others, shapes like clouds, hidden flowers with a bit more black and probably other things we're missing. Overall or from a distance, it may strike you as muted, gray-and-orange-kissed teal. 100% wool is thin, not soft, a bit coarse, almost scratchy. It's supple but not drapey, with no sheen. 100% Wool. Japan.

This is a piece we tested to see how it would come out if machine washed and dried. It did not soften and is still quite coarse and almost scratchy. It's still supple. It shrank to about 13.5" wide from 14" originally, and to about 32" long from its original 36". Color didn't change.
