Rustic vintage silk with wide stripes in reds, copper, berry, wines, from deep blue-red to lighter pinkish tones, with lots of gorgeous slubs and variance. This silk is thin and light, crisp, with texture, a dry hand, and body. No shine. Held up to the light there is some see-through, highlighting the silk fibers that vary greatly in thickness in this artisan textile; see the last photo. Stripes follow a general color repeat but they vary in width from 7/8" to almost 3" and it seems random, based on the artist's wishes. 100% Silk. Japan.

50" length includes 9" of one of the most gorgeous borders we've seen. In our opinion this piece is a treasure.
