Red tones with cross-woven creams and whites, combining to create a faded, muted brick red look. This silk is thin and mid-weight, with a bit of body, a very textured, slubby surface, no shine and no drape. It's not a sleek silk, but is very soft. There are lots of thick and thinner silk fibers, creating slubs mostly in the red. This kimono silk has been carefully stored, never used; it's in excellent condition. This is a weave not a print, and both sides are the same. The colors are even - if the photos make it seem like there is discoloration, fading or gray areas, that's just where the texture and lighting has confused the camera; don't believe it. 14" wide and sold by the full yard; we'll cut yours in one piece from the never-used, vintage, most likely handwoven from raw silk bolt. 100% Silk. Japan.
