Brick red with yellow-orange and white woven rectangles shot with and calmed by the red, all done in the ikat weave. Interestingly, this silk is so thin and light that it's a bit sheer, and in some places in some lighting, you can see lighter crosswise bands, from the lighter and/or thinner threads in those areas. That's why we're calling it rustic; it's not perfect. One of the lighter areas is in the last photo. This silk has no sheen and has a cottony-silky feel, lots of slubs, body, softness and bounce, and no drape. A true ikat, both sides are just the same.  We're guessing hand dyed and hand woven, probably pre-1960's. A soulful silk treasure from the past.

13.5" wide and sold by the full yard - we'll cut yours in one piece from the never-used bolt. 100% Silk. Japan.
