These classic white to off-white natural freshwater shell four-hole buttons are opaque, rimmed and a little over 1/16" thick; almost 1/8". Just enough of the natural shell's glow comes through to create a lovely sheen and iridescence. (Clearly these are not plastic buttons!) Satiny, smooth and fairly thick for their small size, some are a bit rustic or peachy-tan-streaked as you can see. Undyed off-white; depending on the lighting, they may look bright white. The backs are flat and may have more color; see photo. Diameter: between 7/16" and 1/2". Hole size about 1.5mm-1.75mm.
