WHOLE BOLT OF OBI SILK, Gold Mums with Cranberry, Stiff Ornate Heavy Thick Silk from Japan, 5 Yards #533

Opulent and bold, the metallic silvers and golds are bright, the chrysanthemums absolutely alive, and the red is deep bright cranberry. The fanciest part is the large mums in groups of two taking up the whole width. There is also a portion with smaller mums on one edge and red and white woven stripes on the other edge. There's also a portion of just red and white stripes.  The first 46" is the red and white stripes. The next 43" is the large mums, almost 8 of them, covering the whole 12" width. The next 94" is the combination of smaller mums with the red and white stripes.  This is vintage silk designed to be made into an obi, in excellent condition. It's 12" wide and a little over 5 yards long. It's very stiff and heavy; about a pound of silk.The last 2 photos are the reverse side. Order "1' for the bolt. 100% Silk. Japan.
