Nature's beauty in Japan: flowers, leaves, ponds and currents.  Rich cinnamon background plus mustard, deep turquoise, red, raisin, ochre, green. This chirimen crepe is thin and light, flowy and supple, with good drape, a dry hand and no shine. It has a bit of a pebbly texture, not as intense as some chirimen.  It's bingata-inspired, but to us the print seems too perfect to be a true hand-stenciled bingata.   19" repeat,  14" wide and sold by the full yard, this vintage kimono silk is unused, has been carefully stored and is in excellent condition.
