The blossoms are bright orange-red tones, also blended, and we're quite sure all the art and blends are done by hand. Outlines are off-white, leaves blend from golds and limes to dark midnight. There are nine flower art areas throughout the bolt. It was made so they would be in the right places when this long elegant, medium formality Tsukesage kimono would be worn. We've photographed most of them. The largest is 29\" long, in the first photo. They're all a bit different. The smaller ones are around 8-10\" long. Spacing between art varies, and of course there is lots of 'plain' beautiful blended blue. This silk is light weight and thin, classic high-end vintage chirimen crepe, very flowy, drapey and supple, with a fine, luxurious pebbly texture. It's not the stiffer, heavier, deeper-grooved type - it may be a Tango chirimen, known for lustre, fine grain and suppleness.  The blue background was clearly hand painted using the Bokashi technique.  14\" wide. This is for the whole 13+ yard bolt.  It's in beautiful condition, never used. 100% Silk.
