Pale blue woven with pearly white in a slubby, raw-silk-dupioni-like weave, with ikat shapes swerving from side to side through the bolt: pairs of blue birds, blue currents and an orange, blue and green design closer to the outer edges before it waves back again. Thin and mid-lightweight, soft, textured and slubby, with no shine. Gorgeous! It has a bit of body. 22" repeat. A true, difficult-to-weave ikat, both sides are the same. There are minor light spots from storage, see chopsticks. 100% Silk. Age unknown. Japan.
