It's thin, lightweight, smooth and lustrous, not crisp. It does have a bit of body and is quite supple.  Not slubby or shiny. A true kasuri ikat, both sides are just the same.  Our supplier in Japan feels it's handwoven Tsumugi, probably from the 1960's, originally intended for a long men's kimono and pants ensemble. It's around 21 metres\/22 yards.  It looks to be in excellent condition but we haven't opened it completely.  It's 15\" wide, a bit wider than most kimono silks. The never used, rolled bolt is 15\" x 4\" x 4\" and weighs about 31 ounces.  Probably  indigo and mud-dyed.  Order \"1\" for the 22-yard bolt, with its labels of course.  100% Silk.
