REMNANT 14" x 15", Horizons, Unique Silver Artisan Ikat: Vintage Kimono Silk from Japan #106

The background ikat is woven with just black and white, possibly also gray, with sheen that turns the gray to iridescent silvery gray.  And arranged throughout are groups of two pinky-coral and gold rounded squares, maybe like setting or rising suns. All done with ikat; it's not a print. Lots of important, intentional black slubs.  A true ikat, both sides are just the same. It's shiny, soft, thin, smooth, light, sleek, supple but not drapey. Similar to dupioni in many ways. The gold has a pink kiss, the pink is towards salmon/coral. This small piece is the end of the never used, excellent condition vintage bolt.  100% Silk. Japan. Exceptional.  

The silver gray color is perfect and even. The sheen, texture, detail and weave tricked the camera and the photos may show patterns or discoloration that isn't really there. Don't worry.
