Rust Jacquard Silk, Ten Thousand Mums, Vintage Kimono Silk Piece 14" x 50" #282

Kimono silk in a dimensional, detailed jacquard with mums in several different weaves so that they are, or seem to be, various shades of rust. But it's all done with the light and the different silk thread thicknesses and stitches.  Clustered throughout the silk, each mum is about 3" in size. This vintage kimono silk is lightweight, flowy, drapey and soft, with a bit of dimension from the jacquard. The back isn't as pronounced in terms of the flowers, but it's the same rust color. This piece was once part of a kimono, is in excellent condition after being taken apart stitch by stitch in Japan.  This piece is 14" wide and 50" long and we only have one.
